Fenton Mandarin Red and Venetian Red
By Kirsten, Kathy and Tim Eichholz
Fenton began producing red opaque heat-sensitive glass, originally called Venetian Red, around 1924-27 and re-introduced this color as Mandarin Red from 1933-35. The early orange pieces are called 'Flame' by collectors. Pieces that were made from moulds also used to produce stretch glass can generally be regarded as being made during the Venetian Red period. These include the candy boxes, the #550 large 12-panel bowl and the small #545 cupped bowl.

On December 16, 2020, Jenny Bruce began training with Samantha Inman who has moved on to full-time employment.
We appreciate all that Samantha did during her tenure with the NFGS!
Sadly, Jenny left her position on February 11, 2021, due to health issue. We wish her a complete and speedy recovery. We appreciate all she did for the NFGS membership during the brief time she was our Secretary / Office Manager.
Hopefully, in the May / June issue we have someone to introduce.
