Convention souvenir has significance for NFGS.........................By Sharon Fenner

2010_birdfront.JPG The convention souvenir for the 20th year of the NFGS is special to our club in many ways.  First, it is our club emblem, the 5197 Happiness Bird.  Second, it is decorated with the NFGS exclusive "Patches" design.  This is the ninth Burmese "Patches" animal offered to NFGS members.  Check the patches on the back of the bird!Bird_patch2.JPG 2010_bird_17.JPGBird_patch.JPG

Frank Would Have Loved This .......... By Thomas K. Smith

This shape is shown in the Victoria Topaz section of Fenton books, but here it is in what is thought to be Ruby Overlay.  Was this made in 1927 or from 1942 to 1948, as was most of the Ruby Overlay?  Did the mold still exist in the 1940's and, if so, what happened to it?
